@@isawthelight The DR has been a major game changer! Can’t believe I went on 2 or 3 camping trips with a COMPLETELY disintegrated clutch, and the bike still brought me home safe. Watch the stuck in the mud vid for reference. Think its labeled Swamp of Sadness.

I wish I had the means to take the TW up to Big Bear this summer. I don’t think I could handle doing all of the stop and go surface streets like I used to.🥵😩 Honestly, there’s not much out this way. Nothing that you haven’t seen, or ridden out in SD. Maybe time to head west of Bishop!
For sure, I was thinking about that too. Just worked up in Anza today found some fire roads and other trails beside the one around Thomas mountain

"T-dub giving me side eye" haha same. I went out on memorial day to explore a bunch of new trails and get some footage. stupid go pro was in time lapse mode for all the good stuff lol. Looks like a great place to ride. Got some nice hill climbs and views... and yeah I tell ya... Airports, not even once. I get sick every damn time. Sounds like it was worth it though. sucks that spot got sold, that cabin was in a previous video correct? seem to recall a cool cabin. I have a couple near by I need to go check out while I can.

Airports-makes me shudder just thinking about it!🤮 Correct. It used to be the remains of an old stone cabin (Beeks Place). The stone structure is still there, but it appears they have worked in a few additions. Windows, wooden frame/exterior, etc. Get out and explore those cabins! Thanks for watching!🍻

How does the 241 handle in say...2-4 inches of gravel? Our forest service roads have fairly deep and loose gravel and the stock death tire on the TW is horrible!
I have learned over the years that there is no cheat code for deep sand/gravel. It always boils down to skill/seat time, not tire choice. That being said, the 241 will plow through just about anything! Traction is exceptional at 10 psi.

On our winter travels we've discovered to find a hiding spot during the weekends in many places. It's unbelieveable how many folks can occupy a normally quiet camp area. Good to see you out and about!
Hiding spots are the only way to tolerate a busy weekend!
Hard to make a living without the dub?
i ride a KLX230SM, the little TW200 was surprisingly smaller than i anticipated and also had low-CofG. I'd enjoy riding it offroad or on slower streets. But am glad to have the few extra 'klx230 ponies' as a dualsport mostly street rider (atm)
The TW feels tiny after riding my DR650 for a week straight! As mentioned, that small form factor is a blessing, and a curse! I still have my eye on an XT250. The KLX230 is on my radar as well! Thanks for watching!

I was leasing a GF when I first moved to Ridgecrest and she loved riding on the back of the TW. I showed her the basic riding skills starting out and she ended up looping the TW somehow and I didn't think that was possible lol. She laughed about it and was in good sport. The lease was broken now i only got good ol' lefty.
I think it's great taking a new rider out because you can pass on some of your hard earned skills.

I’ve been riding it around town. So far so good! Your recent uploads have been fantastic!
WOW a DR650 just keeps going. It got you home and then some. After the new clutch plates, you could Sea Foam it. I drained 8 oz of oil out of my DRE650 and added 8oz of Sea Foam to the bike. I ran it for about an hour and drained the entire crank case. It cleaned everything on the inside. Then add your good oil and it should be fairly clean.
I am completely impressed with the DR! It was probably another 500 miles after the mud incident. 😱 Poor bike! I use Sea Foam in my fuel tank every so often, but wasn’t aware they made an oil version! I will pick this up tomorrow! Appreciate the tip! Thanks for watching!
